In Between Two Worlds

About In Between Two Worlds

In this slightly surrealist impasto mixed media abstract painting, Maite Baron represents the process of unveiling your dreams, your deepest desires and your unfolding gifts. It’s through the trials and errors that you experience in your life that you get the clarity, the learnings and the confidence to follow your path. The middle circle divided into two halves conveys the split between the rational and the unconscious mind, sometimes pulling apart, others synching in harmony. Sometimes you get distracted by other things and other ways of being, and end up living a life that is unrelated to who you really are. The split triangle speaks for the traditions social conventions and restrictions that need to be left behind in order for you to step forward. The seventeen circles at the bottom symbolise self-discipline, responsibility, spiritual awareness and wisdom, qualities needed to fully live your destiny. The painting is left unframed and has the top right-hand corner slightly leaning forward which the artist decided to leave in peace as the full story of the artwork is about moving forward towards your dreams, making it even more unusual and unique.

About Artist Maite Baron
I am a London based mixed media artist repurposing everyday experiences as art that makes you feel good and brings you joy. My impasto abstract paintings, dramatic mixed media prints and collages look to break the boundaries between experimental printmaking, traditional paint finishes and fine art painting with modern aesthetics…
