About Love Hurts I-IV (tetraptych)
Love Hurts I-IV ( tetraptych) Love Hurts I-IV (tetraptych) is a contemporary artwork consisting of four original etching print variations, each depicting different aspects of relationships as this evolves through time. In “Love Hurts I” Maite Baron explores the feeling of deception in a romantic relationship, depicting the pain that feels to find out that the person you love has lied to you. “Love Hurts II” represents the struggle and the energy drain that you experience when in a relationship one partner gives a lot and the other just takes. “Love Hurts III” shows the natural progression towards emotional detachment once one knows a relationship is over. Finally, “Love Hurts IV” represents love as the greatest life force, giving inner strength in the face of adversity and any imprinted scars. Maite Baron's belief in true love brings hope and optimism even in the darkest times, as well as the courage to turn the page and the desire to give birth to a new era. Each etching measures: 45 x 33 cm. The total tetraptych is 46 x 146 cm if displayed as shown. The artworks can also be displayed in two sets of two or individually. This unique set of four etchings is delivered framed.
