The city has no still, there is no hush
Constant people flow with entry exit crush

Red green stop go lights glare
Traffic pulsates as driver watch and stare
Girls walk by with wind swirling in their hair

The city in full of power and speed
Everything a blur with rapid recede
Focus forward movement to proceed

Steel and glass whizz past
The metropolitan landscape is vast
Life is conducted at a pace fast

Money and energy are in flow
There is no time for things slow
Everybody is on a go go go

The noise of traffic is intense

Sirens scream and wail
Blue lights flashing must prevail

In the rush hour they have no room

Rich and Famous the streets are a blur
Traveling in a limo driven by chauffeur
Urban society enjoyed by the connoisseur

Neon lights at night advertise
Everything is sold through a franchise
Urban lifestyle can feel super pressurised

Hawker on the corner looking to sell
Passers by he makes a pitching yell
His is contraband for rapid retail 

Workers with smart phones walk and talk
Be this London Tokyo or New York
Above the traffic noise they have to squawk

The city has a velocity of its own
A power magnet money making zone
Feel it in your skin flesh and bone
